Contemporary Medical Acupuncture
Contemporary medical acupuncture is a technique in which acupuncture needles are inserted into a specific location to help correct abnormal activity of the nervous system. This helps with pain relief and functional problems. Typically electric stimulation is put through the needles to help regulate muscular activity. It's not uncommon to be afraid of needles! - But don't worry, acupuncture needles are very tiny! Some patients do not even feel the needle as it goes in!
